WoW go on holiday away from civilization then this happens.
So read the latest thread from MBAM, and he gave a pritty convincing argument. Well not pritty convincing he couldn't say any clearer except shouting it in peoples faces that Iorbit stole there database. At first i thought this was just going to be a jealousy issue MBAM were just jealous that iorbit had a better product. I mean its pritty hard to find a Antimaleware product with a decent real time protection for free.. I had the free version then when gizmos hot finds came along i got the pro version for free. Which is now worthless along with iorbits credibility. Sometimes its good to be cheap ;-) but what should people who brought their version do? As i doubt iorbit will keep using the product or continue to update it. What of there other products? I use Advanced System Care Pro (I didnt pay for that either. haha) i have no problems with this but as Iorbit now have zero credibilty i don't no if its worth keeping? there other freeware like Smart Defrag which is generally good will now suffer but i guess thats there own fault. |

Iobit seems to be engaged in some dodgy advertising involving porn sites.
Thought everyone here should at least know about this. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showt...32#post1569832 http[COLON]//forums[DOT]iobit[DOT]com/showthread.php?t=4802&page=16 Last edited by MidnightCowboy; 06. Nov 2009 at 08:49 PM. |

![]() There may be a little moderate flaming in that thread (not by me), but it has been kept fairly civil and on the topic. Wilders mods will not let threads get out of hand. Last edited by JohnnyDollar; 06. Nov 2009 at 02:47 AM. |

Yeah, since the start of this issue, many threads at the IObit forum have been deleted, and as I read at Wilders, even members have been banned. Not very good, and smart move. It just makes them look more guilty altogether.
I have read threads on Wilders on this issue, thanks to the links posted here... and the mods there have handled this pretty well, not letting things go out of bound, and keeping the thread to the topic.

How about this (from Wilders):

P2PTurbo is 100% freebie without any spy ware, ad ware and virus. Last edited by MidnightCowboy; 06. Nov 2009 at 08:51 PM. |

credit littlebits at wilders for this:
IObit has removed the 360 Security download from their homepage http[COLON]//www.iobit[DOT]com/security360.html?Str=download Very unusual wouldn't you agree? Last edited by MidnightCowboy; 06. Nov 2009 at 08:51 PM. |

Yes, that is certainly unusual. Before this issue, IObit Security 360 was on the top of the products list, with Download.com offering the download. Few days earlier, after the issue, the product now is at the last of the product list.
Download.com had removed the product from their site, and IObit was itself hosting the download. Now, they have removed the product download, and its saying.... Updating... New version available soon Wonder what the new version will be all about .They have certainly lost the trust they had built all over the years, with their products. Once trust is broken, its hard to get back, unless they are proven innocent... which does not seem so presently.

I totally agree. Looking at the situation presently... and the actions that they have been taking in this regard, certainly make them look guilty. I had IObit Security on my PC, and on cousin's PC too. Removed from both. Its really sad what has happened. This all has not put a good scenario out to the users. Both the companies involved are top and reputed ones. Bad reputation for one of them was inevitable. When such reputed companies take such steps to get ahead, then what can we expect from other smaller companies.
