Comodo DNS has not blacklisted the site yet but the WOT rating was to be expected as many people will adopt a knee jerk reaction to this before everything becomes known (if it ever does). I'm not saying that it won't end up this way, just that it's still too soon to draw these conclusions.

Not really surprising. The anonymous vigilante internet lynch mob are already hard at work I guess!

Maybe I'm wrong or it depends on different settings....

We use OpenDNS at my Company and this is the message:

"access denied (content_filter_denied)

The site you tried to reach is categorized as "Computers/Internet;Spyware Effects/Privacy Concerns;Illegal/Questionable" and could possibly get the corporation into legal liability thus it is blocked."

Perhaps we have some additional filtering...

More than likely. In which case your company must be pretty quick to react to this sort of thing!

i know Iobit gave a pretty weak response, but after all the evidence MBAM has produced, how is there really any doubt? The traps they set seem pretty convincing. I'm just curious where the uncertainty is? If someone could please explain, I would appreciate it

Thumbs down

I removed IObit 360 from my list. The evidence seems very convincing to me too, and the IoBit responce is airy-fairy. What a pity!

I fully expect IOBit to try and come up with every excuse in the book. Their post on their site was nothing but BLAH, BLAH as far as I am concerned. I think the post on Malwarebytes' site from it's C.E.O. was very detailed and very convincing. I have my doubts as to if Gizmo's will remove IOBit from it's list even in the light of (IMHO) very compelling evidence. Time will tell I guess.

Thanks

Looks like WOT is going all RED on IoBits and people are not believing the inexperienced employees excuse. I think it is time for Gizmo's to make a decission as to whether they are going to continue to list IoBit products or not.

Thanks

WOT is going red because people are instructing it this way. I'm not saying this is right or wrong but we will not revise our own site policy on the basis of blog and forum content. TSA constantly reviews what and who is featured here and endeavors to ensure that this is always in the best interests of our visitors. As I've already said in another thread, a decision on Iobit will be taken only if it is deemed necessary to do so, and not until we are certain of the facts on which such a decision is being made. To adopt any other policy would be a disservice to our members and completely irresponsible. Also, we will not be baited into unreasoned and hasty action by people who seem to enjoy fanning anyone's flames.
