Sorry for the OF. I really like this new version, cause Greg listened to me, a humble customer who has never paid to use this amazing software. The "Trust this process" and "Apply to all" were my suggestions earlier. And Greg made it true. What an amazing developer. Hope you guys like it too.

What makes this even more surprising is, as far as I'm aware, the developers are spread across different locations and not all sitting together under one roof.

I too find Greg very amenable and always quick to respond. Certainly an example to some other CEO's I know

I know what you mean, Tyler. I'm in touch via email with Greg quite a bit.
The last "fix" on the list was as a result of some information I had provided Greg from my own and my wife's computers regarding issues with "trusted" and "untrusted" local network IP's.

There are very few individuals and companies that provide this level of excellent service. Tzuk (from Sandboxie) is one of the very few I can think of. The others are for paid apps so I won't mention them here.

Only a few minor enhancements, though the auto version-check and update download option should be especially well-received. As a Sandbox newbie, I'm trying to understand why you would need a firewall like PFW if you are using Sandboxie? Isn't it overkill?

The only reason that I can think of is not allowing your computer to "phone home" so to speak?

I guess I'm asking because I feel pretty ok with just Sandboxie and the Windows 7 firewall. Am I mistaken?

When I was using PF (now using OA again) that is the very reason I wanted such firewall protection.

I want to know what's connecting outbound so I can determine if it's a potential threat or not.

This would be important for anyone doing banking or other financial transactions online imho.

I also have no issues personally with running a HIPS alongside Sandboxie.

Blues pretty well answered your question. I am in XP and don't have much confidence in the XP firewall. On the other hand if I were in windows 7 I probably would use it's firewall. Also I am using Sandboxie paid so I don't want to elaborate too much on it other than the fact it is a fantastic program.
