I do not have a document scanner for my PC and recently needed some documents to be converted digitally. I photographed the documents using a digital camera and then uploaded the jpeg images to my HDD. So far, so good!
I then converted the jpegs to PDF (using the excellent i2pdf) and then also used Some PDF to Word Converter. I thought that once the PDF had been converted to a Word doc I would be able to edit the text as necessary but I cannot do this as any word processor just sees the files as a picture file. ![]() Does anyone know of a solution? Thanks in advance.

I believe that you need an OCR program. OCR programs can reasonably well pick out characters/letters from a scanned image. However, I doubt that it will work with an actual picture from a camera. The only success I've had with OCR software is when it was bundled with a scanner. But, you could try one out and see how it works.
OCR=Optical Character Recognition
