HOW does one acquire MSFT's movie maker???
I've been to their website only to find blog after blog re. this ... I've looked through their download pages with nary a mention of this ... What I'm looking to do is to (1) combine a couple videos - I'm sure that's somehow possible, but don't know how; (2) add sound effects to a video - probably to upload to UTube - but the video is longer than the sound; without the sound it uploads fine, with the sound added, a block pops up stating not available for UTube viewing due to some error ??? I've also been attempting to understand these audio systems; I would like to find one which (1) can record playing MIDI files and also playing records [off-computer] so I can use these pieces again, not just listen to them. A couple times, I think I've gotten Audacity to record while the music is playing, then I am unable to do so again. If it was Audacity, then I need to have a step-by-step process to follow; if this program has changed, then I wish they'd revert back; if having WIN7 is causing the problem, then ??? - is BETA safe? Hoping you great folks do have an answer; I wish I had the expertise to help this wonderful site, but with each day, I seem to fall further behind technologically ;-( |

If you are using Vista or Win 7 movie maker is here http://explore.live.com/windows-live...maker?os=other
If your still using XP it seems that Microsoft has removed all the links to it. Try one of these alternatives http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...deo-editor.htm

I use the portable version set up as described here You may also find this tutorial helpful for directly recording audio playing on your PC. For splitting continuous recordings into seperate tracks you can use the "silence finder" described on this page. There are many other detailed Audacity tutorials to be found out there on the interweb but hopefully those will get you started. |
