Sadly the quality of the free software offered by some of these give away sites have steadily degraded to the point that free alternatives are often the better option. Although DotTec usually has decent offers. I still check them on a regular basis to see whats being offered but rarely try anything. Besides, I'm using Linux 95% of the time. (which is a good thing)

I agree with you wdhpr. Regarding multimedia converters, there are a whole lot of them out there. I think the freeware ones are good, and unless required for special purposes, one need not go look for commercial ones. For commercial ones, most of them offer these freebies, as a crippled solution, or with the motive that people will use their commercial versions. Most of them are also involved in spamming on sites too. So, I am quite wary of commercial multimedia converters. Anyways, I just thought I would give it a try... and it didn't work sadly.
But the suggestion is always appreciated, thanks .
