Default Potplayer

Any1 else using potplayer ?
i just uninstalled kmplayer and installed potplayer
its a tad faster then kmplayer and has lots of skins pre installed

the only downside i have found till now is that thumbnails are not displayed
only potplayer's icon with file type is displayed

edit - im getting thumbnails for some mkv files but not for all
same for mp4 and avi

Whats the site for PotPlayer?

Is it a non-English site? I have seen mentions of PotPlayer on the site sometime, but I can't seem to find the site. If its a non-English site though, the link won't be allowed on the forum. You can PM me.

Hi all,

Being the new editor for 'Best Free Multimedia Player', I will be looking at PotPlayer plus a few others to see if anything on the list needs to be updated or not.

Thanks.

Although I mostly use Linux now, I too switched to PotPlayer on my Windows system a while ago and can't fault it

Potplayer is indeed a good player. It shows a visible better performance on 1080p MKV files on my media PC compared to VLC.

However, I am missing a skin or skin options for big screen usage. Looking at any Potplayer skin from a distance makes it very hard to read. I wish it would have an option like Winamp to double-size the skin (displaying it in 150% or 200%) so I can see what I am clicking from my sofa.

When playing MP3 files with embedded cover images I haven't find a way yet to display them.

I've not even looked at different skins, i just run it as it is out of the box, and i use JetAudio Free version for audio.....no particular reason except that i've been using it for years. Speaking as a former "vinyl junkie" i view mp3's as substandard no matter what i listen to them with.

Incidentally, this is what i use for vinyl. They haven't yet made the mp3 player as beautiful as this, nor will they i think.
