Bump! Switched back to the more stable VLC. Pot player is promising, but for now it's VLC for me.

You can stick with VLC if you like it, it's an excellent all-round media player, special mention that's it's very powerful. I still use PotPlayer because of it's unmatched audio quality, the output produced by VLC at 400% isn't anywhere near to PotPlayer's 100%. So it provides a better experience when am watching movies, because I don't usually use a headset.

Also your problem, I find it really strange, because every week am downloading various HD sample files to test with various media players (currently testing Jet Audio Basic, almost ready for a review) and I havn't had run into the error that you encountered with PotPlayer. I hope you're not running the less optimized 64bit version, rather than the 32bit version.

The lack of video renderer's in VLC is one of it's con's because it totally fails to play certain video's when most other media players nowaday's has associated many video renderer types to switch between them for playback. But that still accounts to only 1/30 files played in VLC, not a major problem.

Bookmarks are stored in registry - HKCU\Software\Daum\PotPlayerMini . As BM_Item

Not sure what you meant. Do you mean that the program tries to download korean updates within the player from the homesite? Then Go to Preferences->General->Set Automatic updates setting to "Do not use".

And here we are discussing about PotPlayer.
