I want to convert recordings I have on miniDV tape to DVD via my laptop. I have a Sony N50 video camera and firewire lead, and an HP laptop on XP with a firewire port, and an external hard drive I can save to.
I am looking to cature the DV footage, edit the beginning and the end (maybe add simple credits?), and then burn onto DVD. Looking at the freeware info I can't work out which freeware programme or programmes I can use to do this. Any advice gratefully received! |

To edit the video, you will need a video editor. You can find suggestions here :

Suggestions here : http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...on-program.htm To write the videos onto DVD, so that the DVD is able to play on a DVD player, you will need a DVD authoring program. They are suggested here : http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...g-software.htm Hope this helps .
