This has to be the best, smallest and most competent player going,.. and it's free.
"VideoAudio Player". The GUI is so tiny on the screen, you can cover it with one finger,.. very light on computers resources,.. plays just about everything and it's a tiny 467 kb download. I've been using it for years with no problems at all. Although I use KM Player as well,. VAP is a good choice for a second player when you don't want bloatware.

I also use KMPlayer. terrawarra, when you/me are using KMPlayer I really
don't think we need another player around, am I wrong? Can you tell me what this player gives you that you don't have with KMP, other than light on resources. Bo |

You're absolutely right bo.elam,.. with KM Player we don't really need anything else.
I've had Video Audio Player for years,.. first started using it when I had an older low-rent PC with only 800 mhz processor and anything that resembled bloat-ware was a no-no. Probably a sentimental thing but I just won't let go of VAP . I just threw in this suggestion for VAP for anyone that needed a truly lightweight player. I'm glad that you like KM Player as much as I do. cheers

I have VLC player installed on my system for watching videos/movies. If I have to listen to music, I don't want VLC playing, because it kinda feels heavy for that purpose. I occasionally listen to music, and so I prefer a lightweight player. I have 1by1 installed which is brilliant as a lightweight player. I have Spider Player too, and I sometimes listen to music on that too.
There are so many media players available today, from heavyweight to feather-weight. Its an individual choice what he/she wants to use and when. Every individual is not the same... they have different choices, and its good that there are choices to cater to their needs.

I have used KMP in the past. One of the reasons for not using it is, its not being actively developed. There is confusion about beta and stable products, and their forum do not make it clear about these versions. One time, I had to post myself and get it cleared.
I don't play around much with the media players. For simple movies watching, I prefer VLC. Its my choice .
