i have a few video files that i want to upload to rapidshare. I converted the files to mp4 copied them to my phone to watch them if the converts were alright i'd burn them to dvd. I'd like to keep the file in case i need to replace a dvd but im running out of space on my computer. I know that if i keep compressing and decompressing it will ruin the video quality anyway but im hoping if i compress it once and upload it to a online server i may be able to keep a good copy of the file when i decompress it. Any ideas on what program can do this the best?

Since your video is already compressed, any further compression will be minimal in saving space (like a few megabytes). You can try archiving them if you want.
RapidShare is not a good place for backup, it only keeps you files for months unless you're a premium user. Take a look here for better sites. |

so by archiving them into either .rar or .zip would this have any negitive effects on the file? Such as quality loss or risk of corrupting the file?
