Question vid editing freeware to edit a video into small size

what i need is a vid editing freeware that can edit a 700mb and convert it into a smaller size, let's say 500mb or less... is there a freeware that can do that?

I would first suggest you visit: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...deo-editor.htm

Please try to understand that when you reduce the size of a video file, most often it will result in reduced quality. I often will reduce a file so I can e-mail very boring home movie clips to relatives.

I'm not into videos and editing but I came across this, WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe, on a free offer from 1st to 15th March. Now I'm not sure if this will be of any use to jamblebee, but it's worth a look. Maybe it'll be of use to others on here.

The website is here

You'll have to pardon me if it's not what you're looking for because as I say, video is not my thing, but this looks like decent software for anyone who is.

I ran across this the other day. Looked pretty good to me so I downloaded and installed it. Has allot of options and can save to many different formats. Tried a couple of Video files and worked rather well. Its called Quick Media Converter.

One tool I have used allot is Virtualdub. Has an enormous amount of filters which are linked from their site. Virtualdub outputs only avi files but can input various formats.
