Default Running Android Apps on your Windows

I downloaded BlueStacks (120 MB) and briefly gave it a try. Quite interesting.

With BlueStacks you can now run Android Apps on your PC without needing an Android device. Although not yet fully supporting multi-touch gestures, a simple mouse-click and drag still works. It's still an alpha, expect more to come.

Give it a try and see how it works for you.

I had seen this on a blog the other day. Its really interesting.

Its in alpha, so, did you find it stable enough?

The apps will run like they do on Android phones? Can be a good tool to review app, if it does that... without a phone

You can see what it looks like roughly but frankly speaking the experience in using the apps is totally different as you can't pinch or unpinch her on your PC now when you need to.

I tried it, and for it being in Alpha, it is very stable. Never had any crashes yet. It might run a little slow with a bit of lag, depending on your computer, and some apps don't work (I am guessing they are compatibility issues), but otherwise, go ahead and give it a go, it works fairly well.

Thanks trainman261. I have downloaded it, but am not getting the time to play with it.

not sure if you use this but you can "test drive" android apps from amazon's app store. It loads in browser and lets app kind of run, not sure how extensive it is since i haven't used it much
