As a designer I am quite particular about how my desktop looks. Ubuntu has come a long ways and looks very nice right out of the box in both the Gnome and KDE versions.
My all time favorite themes are the Divergence themes which can be downloaded here. What are your favorite themes?

I still quite like the Humanity icon arrangement but prefer darker window borders so I combined the Clearlooks controls with Correcamins borders.
http://art.gnome.org/themes/metacity If you're into blue which a lot of folks are then this Royal Blue icon set is also worth a look. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.p...?content=91099 The cursor I like is called Tronix http://gnome-look.org/content/show.p...39e342ee845ffe Screenshot-1.jpg

Six months ago I liked "New Wave" with some tweaks when using Ubuntu 10.04. Now I seemed to favor a more basic and lighter theme which is Clearlooks with the Atlanta Border for Ubuntu 10.10 like below.

Just for the fun of it, I've recently had a play around with MacBuntu after reading this article.
It does work well. I do like the look of that Divergence theme though, very nice
