Firefox 6 is now ready for general use. It is not in the official distribution channel yet but is at ftp.mozilla .com. Some download links are at The Windows Club

Thanks Vic
.I saw it on Kaldata yesterday, and today on almost all download sites. But, the official release is on Tuesday... so I was thinking of holding the news till then. Recently, with version 5, I observed, the news comes days in advance with new version available. Will download from the official site, but yes, for those who want to get it early, its available on the site told by Vic, and other download sites as well.

Firefox 6 is now officially available on Mozilla website.
Anyone knows how to get to the release notes? Nowadays I do not see the release notes on the download page, or anywhere. Only way I can get to it is by searching for it on Google.

Did a fresh install of Firefox, as I do with every major version release. Found out FEBE does not work with Firefox 6 again
![]() All my other extensions are working. Because of FEBE not working, now I cannot reinstate my saved passwords, neither the preferences. I had seen in release notes of Firefox 6 beta, that Firefox would be adopting the Opera way of displaying URLs, by hiding the http part. But, I don't see any such change. I also read somewhere that Mozilla might give away with version numbers of Firefox altogether . I don't think that will be a very good move. I don't like some of the changes that Mozilla is suggesting, influenced by the browser market.

Bo, you didn't get my post. I already know how to find the Firefox release notes page. I said in my post, that I can get the link by Googling it. My question is, how do you get to the link without searching for it... by navigating from the Firefox page. Because, on the Firefox page, I cannot find any link to the release notes.
