Firefox 5 final

Seems like Firefox 5 final has been released. Many download sites are showing it as available. It hasn't been released officially on the Mozilla site yet though. Should be available in a few hours.

For those who want to download from the download sites can do from Kaldata, MajorGeeks, or FileForum Betanews.

Thanks for the info, I have downloaded 5 from Major Geeks and everything appears to be running fine.

I updated over the top of 4.2 as I didn't want to get into a tangle like I did the last time when I completely uninstalled FF.

I will be downloading from the official Mozilla site, and will do a clean install .

They haven't updated it yet, darn it .

BTW, I am starting to feel if this was a false update from the download sites. I saw the update in the morning, and its night here now, and Firefox 5 final is still not available on the Mozilla site officially. I had read somewhere, that the final was due to release on June 21st. So, it was odd when I saw the final version available on the download sites.

Also, none of the blogs have featured about Firefox 5 final yet.

This article from GHacks however, seems to confirm my suspicions that its still time for Firefox 5 final to appear officially.

Well, if it says 5, then it must be 5. But, I don't know whats taking them so long to update it on the Mozilla site. Maybe, this morning they will(at my end). Almost all of the download sites show the Firefox 5 final as available. As per the GHacks article, 5.0 final can be downloaded from the ftp site of Mozilla. That might be from where the download sites picked it up... and maybe Mozilla will update later, so as to not have their servers bogged down with the download. Lets see.
