Great! Thanks for the information Garth
.I have moved your post as a new thread, because this is a major version update. I will be downloading the setup, and installing it. I saw your comment on the main site, and you had trouble installing it over the previous version. I will install it fresh. I always do so for the major version updates. But, generally, I have observed that, with SRWare Iron, even with major version updates, if you perform over the top install, it works well. I did that once or twice. With this update, it might be they have changed something drastically, that's why it might have caused trouble with over the top installation.

Thanks to EnriqueEssentials for posting the info on the main site
![]() The theme and the few addons i use with Iron all seem to work without issue but i've not had chance to give the browser much of a workout yet, but so far so good.

I just installed the new version, after uninstalling the old one.
The setup for the latest version still gives old version number when you hover the mouse over it. However, the version is right on installation. Just a minor glitch. I installed a few extension... AdBlockPlus(beta), WOT, XMarks, Download Assistant Its really surprising to see that there are now over 10,000 extensions available for Chrome. Where do you download the themes from? Is there any official site for it? Also, is there any extension to back up bookmarks, extensions etc?

I spent about an hour trying to find an extension for that and found nothing but a couple of applications that are way out of date and no good for current webkit browsers.

Another version update released today : 11.0.700.1
It fixes a small problem with UserAgent, according to their forum. Downloading the new version now. Observed that even after I closed tabs, and only one tab was open, there were several processes of Iron open in memory, and making my computer slow. I hope it was something temporary. I have also observed with Chrome based browsers, that, when I open a link, it opens after a short while. The loading indicator would move anti-clockwise for a while, and nothing would happen. Then, after a few seconds or more, it will start rotating clockwise, and that's when the page starts to load. Sometimes it takes long, before the page loads. Never had this problem with Firefox. Also sometimes when I would switch to a new background tab, it would appear to be blank, and then the page contents would come up. Weird. Because of these quirks, I keep coming back to Firefox.

The one thing that's bugging me about this browser, now i think of it, is that i can't get the Stylish extension to work, and this makes it a pain when checking the recent comments list.

Thanks for themes links Garth. I will have a look.
Well, as the number of tabs grow on Chrome based browsers, that's where they start to fall behind Firefox in terms of memory management. And really, if three tabs are open, why should there be ten iron processes? Weird. I don't think that's the way it should behave. I will observe more. I did an over the top installation of the recent update, and it went well. Same version updates can be done over the top, without any problem. But yes, with fresh install, we have to install all the extensions and setup preferences again, that's why I was asking about an extension earlier. Hope they make such an extension. Its funny though, there are such a number of extensions, but only a few which one actually needs. About Stylish, I think there are more such extensions available. You can search. I was looking at the list earlier, and I think I saw some of such similar extensions.
