How to restore old Google image search

I personally like the new image results. Mainly because I hate clicking "next" or 1,2,3 at the bottom of the results pages. Then again I usually use CoolIris anyway which makes it a mute point. Fortunately I have very good broadband speed so I have not experienced the slow down that others have encountered.

I like the new Google images search, except for two things. It should show image size by default. And, I don't like having the image's webpage obscure by a second preview image, after you select an image.

I realize Google is going for attractive rather than functional. Some people aren't very interested in function. Can I get an Amen from the iPhone users!

It's bad for me because I have a large screen, and too many pictures load at once, slowing down my browser.

Also looks confusing and cluttered.

On my small netbook it seems fine..

I kind of like it for same reasons mentioned by Ritho. No more clicking next
and the search is faster this way.
