Default Firefox Clone Updates

Might be worth noting that of the popular Firefox clones, Palemoon has updated to fix the latest security vulnerability in line with Firefox, but CometBird has not (unless I'm missing something?)

I'm using Palemoon a lot now, along with Iron, and really like it.

I think it's vital that these things get patched ASAP and in this instance anyway Palemoon have been very quick to eliminate the threat.

MC, do you prefer Palemoon over Firefox? If so, can you please explain why?

WOW MC, you are still using PaleMoon? I thought you might have given up on it.

PaleMoon has been updated to fix the security vulnerability... this can be attributed to the fact that PaleMoon is based on the exact same Firefox source code. Its just that some of the code has been discarded to remove unnecessary parts of Firefox, and the code has been optimized. Other than that, there is no difference. So, they will be quick to update to latest versions of Firefox.

Whereas, CometBird is based on Firefox too, but there might be some differences, because they are trying to create a variant. So, that might be the reason for being late with the update?

That is my guess of the situation.

It suits me because I only use a very limited amount of extensions, otherwise I can't see any benefits in changing. With what I use though it's definitely more responsive than Firefox. I also had some crashes with Firefox and BetterPrivacy which I don't with Palemoon. Absolutely no idea why since they share identical code but no doubt there's a reason out there somewhere
