Any idea how Firefox runs its spell-check? Is it on our PC or is it net-based? Whatever, it seems nearly instantaneous!

Firefox has in-built spell checker, and works locally from the PC. Look at this link to learn more about it :

Hmm... can't be sure because I really don't know. But, I think, when Firefox loads, everything required to run it would load into the memory, and that would include the spell checker too.
