Digsby - New IM Client

Please not that Digsby was previously featured in this review but has now been removed. This is because of privacy concerns related to their use of your computer data for market research purposes which has resulted in their website attracting a cautionary rating with WOT.

Ohh sorry..didnt read d comments...my mistake..

but the earlier reviews dat i read told about many crapware softwares
but the new version dat i installed didnt ask for any crapwares..it asked for changing homepage though...

Digsby was previously featured in the Best Free Instant Messaging Client article, but has been removed because Digsby site is now rated unsatisfactory on WOT. It is our site policy, not to feature sites which have got unsatisfactory WOT rating.

Digsby had started to bundle crapware in their software, without letting people know. That had given rise to a lot of uproar, and opposition from everyone. Digsby had broken trust of people, and result was that their site has now got yellow WOT rating. Digsby had been very very popular before that. Digsby now provides option to opt out of the crapware. But the damage has been done. Its hard to regain trust once broken. They broke it, and are now paying for it.

Yes, it is a great piece of software, but until their site WOT rating turns green, we don't recommend Digsby on our site.
