Well, the Dragon might have come in breathing fire, but I'm afraid it's going out again like a damp squib
The skin quality is very poor and many of the alternative themes on the page linked from the GUI simply don't work. This suggests to me that maybe this browser is based on an older version of Chrome? Otherwise everything works, but not well enough to tempt me away from my own Chrome alternative, Iron. Looks are king for browsers and Comodo will need to improve theirs drastically if it's going to draw much custom from elsewhere. The desktop icon is a killer, but that's about as far as it goes

![]() I'm actually very disappointed with this Comodo offering. Like a lot of their other "new" stuff it just doesn't look finished. Considering the numbers and loyalty of their fan base it's a big mistake to release a browser which looks like the theme was written up over lunch on the back of a beer mat

Just to update this thread, recent development have now turned Dragon into another real alternative to Chrome alongside SRWareIron. The icons no longer look like they were drawn on the back of a beer mat and cookie management is now how it should be amongst others. WOT still doesn't install fully like it does with the others, but is still usable via the bookmarklet for individual sites if you can live without the search results. I also find it a lot more stable than Iron.

Interesting, what version of Chromium is it based on? Iron hasn't been updated for a while, and I want to experience version 5 myself.
Too bad Chrome is far too simplified for my tastes (not even letting me choose the installation directory), and it packages with Google Updater which tries to startup on my system. Also there's the privacy issues, so I don't think I want to try it again. Chrome Plus is too bloated for an extra browser, my Firefox provides all the functions and far more. |

You can find Google Update in the same Google directory as well. That tried to startup, but WinPatrol detected it. |

Maybe they've just taken the original code to start off and are now doling their own thing, completely independently of what Chrome might be dishing out.
