Anyone tried Qt Internet Browser yet? I was reading about it on its website, and it looks good. The look and feel is very much similar to Firefox, but the engine used is the one used by Apple Safari, and Google Chrome.
It is open source. I might give it a try, and see how it is.

Since the two recent scares with the new version of Firefox I've switched back to Opera. The 10 version beta 2 has really evolved now and there are several improvements to the GUI even though the original new default skin was excellent. I know I'll miss the ease with which search results can be graded with WOT or Link Extend but this is the only minus, for me anyway.
It's great to have the integrated mail client back. No one does this better than Opera.

I am also looking forward for Opera 10. I will try it when it comes out of beta though.
I would like to point out, that the second vulnerability discovered in Firefox, was not actually a vulnerability. That news was spread in the wrong way, which Mozilla team cleared up officially.

Thanks for clearing that up. Just shows you can't believe everything you read (especially if I've written it - which I'll add before someone else does
)I've used Opera 10 ever since the Alpha version although I'm still using Firefox to check sites with Link Extend. I had one minor issue with the alpha in that occasionally the background would momentarily turn to black when changing pages, but then would correct itself. I've had no issues at all with the beta versions 1 or 2, so it's safe enough to try now if you want to

QtWeb looks good. I must say I found it to be quite fast. This is because it uses the Apple's Webkit Render Engine, used in Apple Safari, and Chrome.
I also found that this browser scored a 100 out of 100 in Acid3 test. That's impressive. This browser has potential, but there are a lot of shortcomings for it to overcome. There are no add-ons as of now, and that is quite a big drawback, as it limits the functionality of the browser. The downloader is decent, but no option of pause. There is no option of integrity with download managers. If the option to save passwords is turned on, it will start saving passwords for all the sites... it won't ask. So, its not possible to choose if you do not want passwords to be saved for certain sites. The status bar has been mixed with the address bar... like Opera. I don't find that quite good enough, one of the reasons why I don't like Opera. In Firefox, if you place the mouse over a link, the full link is shown in the status bar, and that helps to look what site you are going to open. But in QtWeb, no such option is there. There are some good things though. It is quite configurable in terms of usability, and various buttons are available which can be configured. A button for private browsing makes it quite easy to access. The toolbars can be undocked, and placed outside of the browser. It provides good options for web developers, with development tools. Auto-filling of forms can be achieved. I hope it is developed to be a good browser, and more functions are added to it.

This can be done with "Reset QtWeb" accessible from the Privacy menu.
Just be careful to uncheck the "Reset All Changed QtWeb Settings To Defaults", otherwise your settings will be lost.

QTWeb has been updated to 3.7.2 now. With this version, it is now available for Linux too. There are some other changes, but the disappointment is that there have been no major changes to the browser, to make it into a more front stream browser.
