Is there any free software out there that scan in bulk and find/identify corrupt Mp3 Files and/or other music files, (and if possible other media files like jpg or avi) and ideally fix them?
I have thousands of music and such files and some time ago i had a hard disk failure, and while I eventually was able to recover quite a lot of stuff, there was too much to check every individual file, and it is only upon trying to play an album or view some jpgs etc that i realise which ones are corrupted. Thanks in hope wekslap |

Try reading through this thread. Seems one of the tools mentioned there will move potential corrupted files to a folder, then you can check through those files instead of having to play every single file to find corrupt ones. May help.

For MP3 files, look at MP3 Diags : http://mp3diags.sourceforge.net/index.html
