There are lots of programs that will convert documents into pdf files. I have a different issue.
I have multiple powerpoint presentations that have been converted to pdf files. I want them back in powerpoint format. Why? I want to edit the slides from different files and copy/paste the slides into a revised powerpoint presentation. Then, I want to show the Powerpoint presentation for a training that I am doing. PDF's do not present well in a slide show format. I cannot seem to find a free pdf-to-powerpoint program! Anyone know of any such animal?

I suggest that you look to convert from PDF to a Microsoft Word document or some other intermediary document type that PowerPoint will import. If it is in outline format you can easily import it into PowerPoint.
I'm not surprised that you can't find a PDF-PPT converter although some crazy guy may have done it.

I can find no freeware software that does this. All of them are very limited trials.
However, I have used this website today to convert about 6 pdf files to Powerpoint and it has worked remarkedly well. I highly recommend it. http://www.convertpdftopowerpoint.com/ Please note that my work email treated the emails as spam, so I had to use my gmail account instead.
