Hey folks.
what I'm looking for is a program that will reduce the bit rate of an mp3 file, and at the same time maintain the tag info of the file. My personal preference I keep my mp3 collections at around the 192kbps bitrate Maximum! I have a boat load of mp3's (near 8 Gigs worth!) at over 256kbps. For the sake of drive space I would like to lower this, but havent the time to manually rewrite the tag info for every file. Any suggestions are greatly appreciate! Yours, Beev |

Any decent converter should be able to convert the file, and keep the tags.
I tried some, and these can keep the tags on conversion. Helium Audio Converter : http://www.intermedia-software.com/p...dio-converter/ DVD VideoSoft Audio Converter : http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products...-Converter.htm Freemake Audio Converter : http://www.freemake.com/free_audio_converter/ MediaHuman Audio Converter : http://www.mediahuman.com/audio-converter/ Of these, I found DVD VideoSoft to be good in terms of providing more options to control the output file parameters. But, for your requirement, any one of these should do.
