Reduce the filesize of an mp3?

Hey folks.

what I'm looking for is a program that will reduce the bit rate of an mp3 file, and at the same time maintain the tag info of the file.

My personal preference I keep my mp3 collections at around the 192kbps bitrate Maximum! I have a boat load of mp3's (near 8 Gigs worth!) at over 256kbps. For the sake of drive space I would like to lower this, but havent the time to manually rewrite the tag info for every file.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciate!

Any decent converter should be able to convert the file, and keep the tags.

I tried some, and these can keep the tags on conversion.

Of these, I found DVD VideoSoft to be good in terms of providing more options to control the output file parameters. But, for your requirement, any one of these should do.
