Default Free Folder Protection

I am not the only user of my comp and other users are not very careful. So I just want to protect my folders on hard drives from casual deletion. I have Windows 7.

Who knows if there exists a free folder locker with such features:
- option to automatically switch on protection when closing the folder locker
- option to automatically switch on protection when the comp is not used for predefined time
- option to have on not to have password
- options to have hiding/locking/read-only types of protection

I tried a lot of these progs but never found a prog with all set of features.

If there exist other ways to protect my folders without a prob I would be grateful to learn them.

Thank you.

Hi,
Why not set up separate User Accounts? More info via http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...sked-questions

Thank you for your answer. On my comp all users have separate accounts. I want to protect some folders which do not refer to the account (which are like 'C:\users\UserName\...' only these folders are protected from other users).

You can check out "right-click > Properties > Security" then remove or deny all the rights other users have over the folder. You can hide via Properties as well.

As for the automatic part, maybe Task Scheduler can do that. Like the "On idle" trigger.

Pardon, what do you mean by 'the automatic part'?
