So I was hoping to use Carbonite (but open to suggestion) to backup all my data including lots of larger files. Unfortunately Carbonite has limitations which prevent it from backing up certain kinds of files and files over a certain size. You can override this default by right-mouse-button clicking a file and selecting "back this up" but I just don't have the time nor desire to do this across my several hard drives and many TBs of data. Is there a software tool I can run a filter on, across all my files, to find files of certain size or type, and then in one swoop, say within its file manager window showing filter results, RMB and select "back this up"? This is my dream anyway short of a macro that would do this automatically.
One other workaround might be to switch to [backup sites] but I think they have limits too, just bigger. Last edited by Anupam; 24. Nov 2011 at 07:01 AM. Reason: Edited out links to commercial backup sites |

This isn't an answer to your question, but have you considered Mozy? I've been using Mozy for several years now and I love it! I do have to say, though, that I use their free version as it offers plenty enough space for my needs. I'm not sure if it has the same limitations or not.
