Default Simple timeline of organised snippets

Hello everyone. I'm new to the site. Wondered if you can help suggest the best programme for me....

I work in a small company (just over a dozen people).

We provide a range of about 6 service groups to 25 bigger organisations (of 50-500 people) through quite an informal set of arrangements.

Different people in different departments will use different services, although there is a fair bit of crossover and in some cases we get people to work together accross the different organisations. Each of the organisations is structured a bit differently

In this line of work it is very important to be able to detect how well people are getting on with our company in general, and (importantly) things can move on relatively quickly, so being liked for last years project is less important than beinf a source of frustration on the service accessed last month

What I'd like to be able to do is to capture anecdotal intel about how engaged and satisfied people are, and any issues (be they formal or informal) from whenever we happen to be in conversation with them.

I'd like to use this to paint a picture (like a heatmap) for the sponsors in each organisation about who in their organisations are engaging with our services, and how strongly they value or dislike the different aspects of what we are doing, and to do this using either a timeline or a 'latest' snapshot.

I'd also like to be able to cut the same information by professional function, or by which of our services it is, and also to see an overview of the patterns (e.g. certain staff members are not engaging with certain customers or role groups we need to notice. (This highlights another need which is to spot things that are consipicuous by their absence i.e. lack of content as well as content)

I've looked at some CRM type websites but it all seems far too complex and sales oriented. Ideally we'd have something where recording anecdotes is really simple (iphone/blackberry app type learn in 5 minutes and use with 3 clicks simple) - otherwise people wont do it - but is flexible (e.g. drag a tag with mouse of finger on screen to reorient the information)

We could supplement this information with a way to describe the relationships between these people we are serving.

Other than this, less is more in terms of features.

Any ideas of specific products or where to look? My problem is I dont even realy know what the above is called, so I dont know what to ask for or search for on the web!

Help much appreciated

These CRM softwares may help you: http://www.pravega.net/vegaport-overview

Most CRM software fails to deliver results simply because of poor implementation but as you only employ 12 people then this shouldn't be such a massive problem.

Good luck!
