What is the best freeware programme for printing Jewel case inserts/covers. All I am looking for is something that will allow me to show the title of the CD/DVD on the cover and on the spine & possibly the contents on the back/tray cover. I do not really need fancy graphics and artwork.

Here are some of the ones I know of :
UndercoverXP : http://www.undercoverxp.tk/ CdCoverCreator : http://www.thyante.com/index.php?id=1,0,0,1,0,0 http://www.cddvdlabelmaker.com/ I haven't used them, so don't know if they will meet the features you need... but I think they should. Read about them on their site, or try them out.

Thanks for that. I looked at all 3, and I'm going to sound like a bit of a fuss, but they don't seem to do exactly what I want. They seem to be very graphic/image orientated. All I really want to be able to do is add text to a blank cover & insert so that I can file CD/DVD archives.
Sorry to sound ungrateful for the suggestions already made but I'm a simple soul looking for something equally simple. Ta Last edited by Anupam; 04. Oct 2011 at 04:27 PM. Reason: Removed objectionable word |

Sorry to know the software do not meet your requirements. That's all I know about free lable maker software.
Just meant to ask, did you actually give them a whirl after installation, or did you just look at features on their site? If you haven't given them a whirl yet, I suggest that you do, since although they look graphic oriented, but it looks like they should support text too.

I downloaded and tried each one. I think what is frustrating is that a couple of months ago I found a Word template which was perfect, unfortunately I committed the cardinal sin of not making a note of where I found it and cannot find it again.
I will just have to keep looking. Thanks |
