Are there any programs that find junk folders (those created by programs that are no longer installed)? I just bought my first computer (second hand) and I want to give it a clean start. I am having difficulty with doing this manually as, I'm not yet experienced enough. I have seen reviews of programs that remove junk data but, none that mention folders. Thanks for the help.

The difficulty here is that any program to do this would not know which is junk and which is not. Only you can decide that because if, as you say, they were created by previous programs then they are not junk in the context of the program that installed them. There are plenty of programs which delete empty folders though.

Jim is right. No program can make decisions on your part, to consider if a folder/program is junk or not. Programs don't have that intelligence. So, you will have to make that decision yourself. I have replied to your similar query on the other thread.
