Hi,
I am looking for a software which is able to crop the person out of a image i.e., to remove the background. As I searched fotoflexer (online) came quite close to my requirement. But I was looking for something which I can run from my computer for better precision and control. P.S.: I am a naive when it comes to photo editing. Kindly don't suggest photoshop likes or GIMP. |

Another possibility is Paint.Net. I've just started using it. It does Layers and has "magic wand" and "lasso" selection. When used in tandem you can select an irregular shape, then "crop to selection." That can be saved to file, then loaded in as a Layer on top of any background. If I can figure out how to do it in a few hours during first time use, then it's not difficult. Also there are many free effect plugins you can add.
http://www.getpaint.net/index.html Open Paint.Net then click Help => Plugins. It will browse to a plugin page with instructions and many user-written plugins.
