I have a large number of JPEG and PDF files that I've batch downloaded for a project, but the file names are a mess. Opening them, closing them, right clicking, then carefully typing only up to the file extension is a lot of back and forth for my carpal tunnel wrists to take.
So I'm looking for a program that will allow me to rename those files manually while previewing the image or first page of the PDF file. The preview image will tell me what to name each file. I know I can do this for JPEG's by right-clicking files in Windows Explorer, but a program that would just let me type away through a list -- never touching the mouse -- would save me a lot of grief. "Better File Rename" allows this kind of list renaming without the image preview -- but I'm hoping there is a photo or image organizer out there which will fit the bill. |

O.K. -- halfway there on my own.
The thumbnail view in Zoner Photo Studio -- recommended on site as a photo organizer -- allows for fairly easy & mouse free renaming of all image files. Still looking for a way to get a preview of a PDF file while renaming... |
