I had error messages when testing a Boot CD which includes the WinPE rescue environment.
I unzipped onto my Hard Drive various Portable Screen Snapshot utilities and tried again. Under the Boot CD :- they all ignored Cntrl/Alt/Print screen; Double Click in WinPE "Windows Explorer" found something missing and failed to launch; WinPE "DOS" invoking the executable only worked with WinSnap.exe - the Pro version. Unfortunately that obliterated the details I wanted with an invitation to pay a licence and have the "invitation" removed from the images. I do not need all the WinSnap options and facilities, just something simple that will run under a Boot CD with no expectation of .NET Framework etc. ! ! Regards Alan |

I just did a quickie test with a VirtualBox running the Wondershare Live CD that is discussed elsewhere here, then went to the Screen Grab category here:
http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...re-utility.htm grabbed a small one, Snippy, and it seemed to work. You'll have your best bet with something that is self-contained and needs no installing.
