When I install some software I would like to be able to find out what files and folders it has created on my hard drive and where these are. It would be good to know what registry keys it has created and changed aswell.
During installation, nearly all software has administrator privilege and can dump files all over the Windows partition even if you were logged in as a standard user. I would like to be able to find out what has been created and changed after I install something. I know that there are programs like Sandboxie which can undo a lot of these things, but that is not what I'm looking for. I just want a list of files, folders and registry changes that have happened when I install something. TIA |

There are a lot of "software installation monitors" out there. Try Googling this. One such freeware option is:
http://www.lcibrossolutions.com/spyme_tools.htm Please understand that I am not recommending this software as I know nothing about it. I also did not verify that it is free of malware, though the site has a green WOT rating. I believe that at least one of the ones mentioned here have the ability to monitor software installations: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...-installer.htm
