When you import a picture or a document from a camera or scanner there is a default save location and you must click browse to find the location you really want to use . To attach something to an email its the same problem . Why can't someone invent a program that saves multi default locations that work with all programs that have the save and browse feature . I find the drilling down to the save location I want time consuming . I also teach beginners computers and they find this process difficult to say the least.

I can think of two ways without resorting to freeware.
1) Set up a user or system variable to point to a default directory. 2) Set up a local mapped network drive that points to the same computer and the directory you want to store to then you only need to indicate a single drive letter to store the file. P: for pictures, F: for files, M: for mail, provided these are not already assigned.
