Hi,
I have I lot of image files I have auto captured from digital video files. On browsing them I see many have digital artifacts, due to the break up in transmission of the original video signal. I could watch a video and do the screen shot capture manually and thus avoid capturing 'bad' images, but that would be very time consuming. Q1) - Does anyone know of a program that can search through a folder full of image files, examining each image and listing/displaying those images it considers have artifacts. I've eliminated duplicate or very similar image files so now I want to auto find and eliminate poor quality images. This would save me a lot of time. I'm guessing it would have to be VERY sophisticated to be able to do what I want, so maybe I'm being too optimistic in thinking there could free or open-source software capable of this function. Then again, I'm often surprised at the quality and capacity of many free/open-source programs. Q2) - Also, does anyone know of a website that features a large/good selection of image tool software, not just image editors. I know that 'Afterdawn' has a good section on video related software, and I'm looking for something like that, but image related. Thanks, |
