Default Find very similar images

Hi,

I'm looking for a program that can scan a folder an find similar images. There is a commercial program called 'Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder' that seems to be the type of thing I'm look for. I have looked at XnView and it does find similar images but I'd like the program to display them as thumbnails so I can quickly delete the ones I choose. I have thousands of image files that I want to perform this task on so need a program that does almost all the task for me.

Cheers,

Well, if you are interested in finding duplicate images, Duplicate Cleaner is the fastest I know of.

Does that find similar images or just exact same files?

@J_L
I suggest you try Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder, it can compare similar images and shows the similar rate. You can determine which image will be deleted.
The official site is:
www.duplicate-finder.com
And there is a introduction in Freewaregenius.com:

I've tried it, and wasn't impressed.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I've not had a chance to test them yet. I've done a bit more work with XnView and if none of the programs suggested meet my needs I'll make do with XnView, which does what I want but just feels a bit cumbersome.

Thanks again,

I played around with several programs and finally decided to keep four of them. In no particular order:
- VisiPics
- AntiDupl.NET
- Duplicate Photo Finder.
- Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder

I often use all the programs because they produce slightly different results.

I also tried several others and found them to be inconvenient or outright unusable.
