Default recommendation please

I have a large video file(15gig+) that i want to send via yahoo mail. I've never used compression software before. Can you recommend one that can handle this and is easy to use? Of course i need to unzip it as well as i am sending it to another computer i have.It will need to work for XP. Thank You.

As your video is 15 GB or so in size you will find it impossible to get it compressed to 25 MB: the latter figure is the maximum file size that Yahoo will handle if my memory serves me right.

That's a great program,but it's only good for2G.I guess there's nothing for mailing a file that large.Too bad.

Alternatively you can try to split your file into smaller ones for sending. See Robert's Hot Find: This Excellent File Splitter is Free, Small and Portable.

Just wanted to point out that a File Archiver/Zip utility can be used to split the files.

7Zip is the top pick in Best Free File Archiver/Zip Utility.

After installing 7Zip, right-click the file in question and select 7Zip and then "Add to Archive..". You will then see a screen which gives you the options to split, add password and encrypt.
Note that the split option is in Bytes so if you wanted 25MB size pieces-you would enter 25M.

Of course you can split into larger pieces and use the service above that has the 2GB limit or place at an online storage site and download from there.
