I was just wondering if anyone knew of a free version of something like PC-Check or QA+Win32 diagnostic utilities? Something that tests different components of the mobo, CPU, etc.? I already use MemTest86/+, and the different HDD utilities via manufacturers, but was looking for something that tests more components.

I use [commercial software] - that one was still freeware, not sure it is any more.....if you can find it, it runs okay on Windows XP and even Win 7.
Have you considered Fresh Diagnose? Softpedia have a safe link: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...Diagnose.shtml Last edited by Anupam; 31. Mar 2011 at 02:38 PM. Reason: Edited out mention of commercial software |

Could you be more specific about which part of the computer you need information about or that you suspect is giving you problems.
There are a number of free system information utilities. Have a look here. I personally like Belarc Advisor for its level of detail. There are also a number of free tune up utilities which can be found here. As a word of caution I recommend caution while using tune up utilities as they can cause more problems than they solve. Good Luck Wdhpr |
