I'm looking for a program that can scan a folder and sub-folders and also preferably a whole partition or drive for any broken/corrupt audio files (not just mp3 files).
I have found one at Donation Coder website called 'TrackErr' and while it is useful it does not have many 'bells & whistles' and it does also list some files as broken but those files are still playable. TrackErr can open a file but you can't open the containing folder or copy the selected file(s) to another folder folder for later checking. I know I can do that manually but when there are a LOT of files it is extremely time consuming. Ashampoo has a program but it only checks mp3 files and it is not free. Perhaps there is an audio player program that has the feature? |
