I'm considering getting away from Outlook 2007 and going to something like Dreamail or other freeware email client. Outlook keeps crashing adn I'm getting sick of it. I've done all I can do to get it to run as uncrashable including disable/un-installing all add-ons, running is safe mode, re-installing and also re-installling it on a fresh Win 7 install. Nothing has worked.
I have thousands of emails in .pst files going back several years and would like to be able to seach and display messages without Outlook being present. Anyone know if such a beast exists? Thanks, Rory |

Thanks for the quick reply Garth. I did try Thunderbird within the last 9 months and it slowed my system(s) down to a crawl after doing the import. Seems that it was always busy re-indexing everything after getting my pop yahoo and gmail accounts.
Maybe I'll try the latest version of Tbird and see if it has improved in that way. |

Welcome. I've not had any problems with Thunderbird causing system slowdown but i expect it depends on your system.
I'm obliged to point out that should this PST conversion software not suit your requirements, we cannot offer any further help with it or discuss it further since this is a freeware site and the software you refer to is not freeware.
