I am looking for best recommended free software to boot Ubuntu, Puppy and Windows 7 from USB HD, DVD, HDD respectively, preferably without altering MBR of HDD. I Expect a popup choice menu at boot. Can please help?
Thanks |

use ubuntu's wubi to install it inside windows. it'll boot to it and all but doesnt change mbr.
you can then edit ubuntu's boot menu to add more. not been on win7 long but on xp, you could modify the boot.ini, assuming win7 has this but maybe under different name. Xpud also has a windows installer as well. Both Wubi and Xpud worked well on xp and I'd assume they work on win7 without problems |
