Hello,
I'd like to make the following suggestion about a freeware RAM tester software for Windows: What the program does: - Test the computer RAM for errors for a user-specified period of time. - Find the bad memory addresses. - Save the bad memory addresses to a file so it can be used later. - Commit the bad locations (addresses) and fill them with any data and prevent other programs from using them. - Provide the user with the amount of memory that was "lost". The program should have a tray icon and can be launched at startup so it will commit the bad addresses that it found before. Best regards, Julien. |

memtest86+ is what i've used before and like. http://www.memtest.org/
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp is something "new" in that I haven't used it before but it looks pretty good. Most ram tests won't work unless you boot into an environment to test, Windows protects Ram while it is loaded |
