With the current freeware Pixelnotifier 1.0 one can only pick individual pixels to watch them for color change. However in case of numbers changing say from 2-3 this may not always result in an alarm since the particular pixel selected to watch might not be the one necessary to change for the number. Sure you can select more and more pixels but that is very stressful, so id lke to know whether theres a program or an update of this where we can select a range marking any part of the screen with say a rectangular box and any pixel color change within that field be noticed. Thankyou very much.

I read you previous thead, but have not seen nor could find any alternatives. What you are asking for would appear to be a very specialized program. I understand what you want the program to be able to do, but can you explain a bit more specifically what you are trying to do, as there may be another approach to solve the program. What kind of program is outputting the numbers? Are you monitoring hardware/system status that could possibily be detected through an API? etc.

jonnyk, welcome to the forum.
Its a kind request, not to post multiple threads for the same topic/issue. This thread of yours is similar to the one you had already posted for requirement of a software similar to Pixelnotifier. You have explained more in this topic, so I have deleted the other one. If you want any such assistance in future, you can write to any of the moderators.

@Ritho
1st thanku for the reply. I need the program to track the changes in High and Low on currencies, like those you can find with saxobank. The numbers are in black with white background but sometimes with pixelnotifier when say the no 8 changes to 3, and ive marked one part of the upper right corner, the program wldnt register the change since those pixels remain on. So ive to select multiple places to ake it more secure but its never perfect. Thats why im looking for a program where you could select a whole range with a rectangular square using the mouse which youve probably used in paint to mark objects and then move them around. The principle of pixel change reamins exactly the same ONLY that now all the pixels within that marked field would be tracked for change |

You can just pay me about thirty bucks an hour, and I will sit an watch it for you, and give you a call if anything important happens.
![]() I was wondering if there might be a way to use a webcam focused on the screen. There are motion detection programs that might work to detect a change. Another option might be to find someone who knows how to script something simple that works like this. 1. Take a screen shot of the region where the numbers are every few seconds. 2. Compare the last screen shot with the one before it for any content changes. 3. If there are changes play a sound. I wish I knew a bit about scripting, but unfortunately I don't. I do think that this would be very easy to accomplish though.

Pixelnotifier is more easy already. It just needs a little imporvement. Do you know anybody who could use the basic commandlines of or within Pixelnotifier, adding to it a range selection box and any color pixel change to any other color detection, not just the defined specific color available? |

Sorry I don't, I wish I knew someone that could do these things easily, because from time to time I also run into situations where a little script or utility would make things so much easier.

pixienotifier is written in autohotkey i think, or autoit (basically same)
I'm not offering to write a program for you since I don't got the time, just letting you know it's possible and you can do it yourself since autohotkey isnt hard to learn. Sorry, no software suggestions but this might help you get idea where to start |
