Default How to send a large video via Email

I'm looking for a program that can compress a home video i made,but it's too large for Yahoo mail to send.Is there a software that will condense it so i can send through E mail? Thank You.P.S. This video works perfectly with Windows media player i just can't send it.I've sent smaller video's,but the bigger ones need the software.

Have you thought about uploading the videos to SkyDrive or DropBox and directing your recipients to download them directly from there?

Sope is right. You will have to use a file hosting site if you want to share that video with others. File size for mail attachments are limited, and that is a problem too with attaching big files like videos. Even splitting the file into various parts with a file splitter and then attaching those parts will be a problem.

Ok, have a look at this wiki article which tells you which email providers offer free accounts and what size of attachments are allowed.

Remember your recipient must also be able to receive the large files you send which adds complication.

Some providers also filter out potentially malicious files including exe and zip attachments.

If you want to regularly share videos with people who have various different email providers I still think your best bet is something like DropBox or just upload them to YouTube!

Edit:
YouTube has the ability to keep videos private and send a link only to those you choose to view them.
Likewise, DropBox allows you to send a url via email which links to specific files or folders you want to share.

The thing people often forget is almost all media files are already compressed. When you try to compress a compressed file with something like 7-zip or WinZip sometimes it even gets larger.

Also even if you could send something huge, most people see a gigantic attachment they delete it before thinking about what it is. I know I do!!

@AST

Another service that may meet your needs is drop.io
Files up to 100MB in size are free.

Binfer looks ok but it appears that you would need the recipient to be at there PC to receive the files directly as you send them, and both of you will still need to install a 3rd party program.
