Default Best Free Browser Scrubber

Hi all, I am the editor for Best Free Browser Scrubber.

http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...r-scrubber.htm

Since I came on board I have introduced Comodo System Cleaner to the to the list. I found it to be a great programme.

Heere are others I hae tried but will not be adding

ATF Cleaner which is very out of date and does not work.
FCleaner which was very like Ccleaner but very very slow.
Easycleaner which only supports IE.
Disk Cleaner again only supports IE.

I don't want to spoil things and tell you what I have decided to add but keep an eye on my category and you will see in around a month and a bit. In the meantime I will be updating with information about Comodo System Cleaner & Ccleaner.

If you have any thing you would like me to check out and maybe add then leave a comment.

Thanks.

Default Ccleaner Alternatives

Hi everyone I am the editor for Best Free Browser Scrubber

I have a few applications that I have in mind to add but I wanted to know what programs you use to erase your browser history and cache. I welcome any suggestions and comments.

Thanks.

Forgive my ignorance, but don't most modern browsers have the ability to "scrub" their own private data? Why then, do people need a separate browser scrubber?

I know that Opera has "delete private history" and Firefox has "private browsing". IE has the ability to delete history data, etc.

I am really asking out of ignorance primarily because I seldom see a need to worry about my browser history or data.

I think this is a good point raised by kendall.

I use CCleaner to clean my system of temporary files, browsing history etc. Recently, I noticed that even after cleaning with CCleaner, recent history of Firefox was not getting erased. Cookies, temporary files, form information, cache... this all was deleted, but not the recent history. I now use the "Clear Recent History" button to erase it.

I think the main reason to use a cleaner like CCleaner is that, with a single program you can clean the stuff of your browsers, and can clean the system too. Saves you from cleaning the individual browsers if you are using more than one. Still, like I stated above, the cleaners might not be doing the job completely.

I have noticed, 50-60 MB of data gets accumulated on my PC, on a daily basis. This includes the browser data, temporary files on PC, etc. I therefore, use CCleaner daily.

I'd like to suggest CleanAfterMe. Supports IE Firefox Opera which are the only ones apart from QtWeb which are on my system, dont know about Chrome as wouldn't touch it with a barge poll. Has an option to fill with zeros then delete. No backup feature but I've never seen the point in backing up junk files.

Yes well if everyone just done it manual then i would not have a category to be editor of Like many of the other programmes featured on this site there are manual ways of doing it but the whole point in TSA is to provide free software.

Thanks.

Unfortunately it does not support Firefox and does not look like it will in the future.

I have been in contact with a few of these software vendors and am assured that in the not too distant future there will be support for Opera 10 Firefox & IE8.

As kendall pointed out IE8 and all other browsers have the ability to clean there own history and some browsers will do this better than others. This has given me the idea of maybe adding something to my article which lets readers know about this and how well each browser handles deleting its own data.

Thank you to everyone who has given suggestions for me, it really does help and rest assured that I will be updating you all on with the best free browser scrubbers available.

Thanks.
