well since you mentioned you disabled javascript/use safe mode for foxit, I thought you did this instead of sandboxing it
Since even if you didnt do these things, in a sandboxe with no internet connection/access to outside programs and limited which ones can start in sandboxie, it wouldn't really matter |

replacement for SBIE. Doing so and opening PDF files always sandboxed with no internet connection allowed makes it very hard to get infected when I open any PDF file. Basically, I do the same with every program, change the settings that make it harder to get infected and opening the programs sandboxed. Bo |

gotcha
I just find disabling javascript to be crippling pdf that I get. Since I've never gotten an infected one but I get ones using javascript sometimes, I do sandboxie mine too but I like to keep it's features in tact too But I've moved away from foxit and onto samatra because of the ask toolbar and it dailing home |

from within Foxit and Ask is not offered. When updating is not possible from within, thats the time to use the MSI. Its been a little over 2 years since I started using Foxit and will keep it as long as the Ask toolbar is not imposed on users, the Reader remains safe and easy to use. Bo |
