Default AbiWord query

Good day
Hope this is posted to proper board.
As AbiWord is offered at Gizmos...
How may I find out if AbiWord is still supported.
Emails to all ***@abisource.com are returned undeliverable.
Emails to AbiWord webmaster are returned undeliverable.
Emails to hosting site University of Twente are not answered.
So, is AbiWord temporarily down or just not supported anymore?
Thanks

Hi bjm, welcome to the forum.

I remember that you had posted this query on the main site too, here :

http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...#comment-55880

I had responded to your query there too :

http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...#comment-55899

As I have said above in my comment, Abiword site is not down... and new releases of Abiword get released quite regularly. I have Abiword installed on my PC, and I download the latest versions, so I know for sure.

But yes, they do not provide any release date for the versions, so its difficult to know when the last version was released. They should provide the dates.

Repeating my links posted in the comment :

System requirements for Abiword are given here :

http://www.abisource.com/support/require/

The above link is on the LHS. First link under Support.

Information about what files can be opened by Abiword, can be found in the FAQ here :

http://www.abisource.com/wiki/FAQ

I don't think it can open docx files. I might be wrong though.

Well, site is not down ...but, myself and two friends have tried all the *@abisource.com email links and all are returned undeliverable...so, what am I to think ?
Read some of the User Lists posts ( I tried to subscribe and my subscribe request was returned > Undeliverable )
Users just want their unanswered questions they have posted to the User Lists acknowledged since no one apparently answers them...they are upset that their post are ignored to the point of not even being acknowledged ... even if no one has an answer. They expect to be acknowledged.
I cannot subscribe....my subscribe requests are all returned undeliverable ....IDK

Do these Sys req. seem just slightly dated... they appear outdated to me. Info does not state minimum is Win 2000....Info states supported OS are:
* Windows 2000.
* Windows 95, 98 and ME are no longer supported in 2.6. Use 2.4.6 instead
Geez, Major Time warp - No XP, Vista, Win7

Thanks for your interest ... site may be supported ....app may be supported...I'm just not getting supported ?

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

Not sure if "Configure your mail program properly" is to me or @abisource
I tried from 3 webbased email servers...and my friend tried from their email servers....with same results.

I used links on this page > http://www.abisource.com/support/help/maillist.phtml

Thanks for the details. I will repeat myself... do you have any query for the team at Abisource, for which you are trying to contact them? If yes, please share here, so that anyone of us can try to make a contact, and see if our mails fail to reach them too. I can't just send a test email to them, to verify. I need a genuine query.
