Talking Microsoft excel file to PDF (non adobe)

Is there a freeware that can save a microsoft excel files into .pdf? I can do that in Adobe Acrobat, once you installed it, there is an icon inside Microsoft Excel.. if you click it, it will save your file into pdf. Now, the problem is it has expiration. I want to know if there is another freeware alternative to this.

Thanks

Pdf writers might do the job for you. These get installed as virtual printers on your system. When you want to convert any document to pdf, like word, or excel sheet, just print it, and choose the pdf writer you installed. Output will be a pdf file.

You can find softwares here :

You might want to try 7-PDF Maker mentioned in Best Free PDF Tools.

Are there any other tools like 7-PDF Maker, that do not use a virtual printer to create PDFs from other file formats?

I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but OpenOffice will export any supported file to PDF as far as i know.

If there are any non virtual printer ones, I'd like to know as well; all the known to me fall into this category.

Hello,

actually, in Excel 2010 and 2007, you can select a region or create a custom view, and then in File / Save or Send, choose 'PDF or XPS'. It creates very slim pdf docs. Check 'Options' button as well.

Can be automated by recording or writing VBA macro.

No 3rd party software needed in this case.
